Stackify, a Cypress Growth Capital portfolio company since 2019, recently announced its acquisition by Netreo. Stackify is the fourth company to successfully exit from Cypress’ most recent royalty investment fund which debuted in 2017.

Based in Kansas City, Stackify is led by founder and CEO Matt Watson. The company offers SaaS application performance monitoring (APM) solutions. Before founding Stackify in 2012, Matt was the co-founder and CTO of VinSolutions, an auto dealership software company that was sold to AutoTrader.com.

"Cypress Growth Capital's non-dilutive funding allowed me to retain more of my founder’s equity and their team's deep operating experience in the SaaS market helped me scale the company quickly.” Said Stackify CEO Matt Watson.

Netreo is a provider of network monitoring, analytics, and intelligence tools. Matt assumes the role of CTO for Netreo effective immediately and will focus on the ongoing development of customer-centric technology solutions.

“Matt had a very successful exit with his previous company and clearly understands the importance of preserving equity,” remarked Cypress’ Vik Thapar. “The sale of Stackify to Netreo demonstrates Matt’s exceptional entrepreneurial skills and is yet another example of the effectiveness of our unique form of growth capital for emerging tech companies.”

Over the past decade, Cypress Growth Capital has invested in 40 software and tech-enabled services companies. Like Stackify, more than 80% of the companies with whom we partner go on to achieve a strategic acquisition or a subsequent growth equity raise / recapitalization.
