Cypress Growth Capital Promotes Vincent Hsieh To Managing Director

Cypress Growth Capital is excited to share that Vince Hsieh has been promoted to Managing Director. Vince joined Cypress as a Partner in 2022 after a successful entrepreneurial career.

The Cypress team first met Vince in 2011 while he served as the COO and CFO at Geoforce, the fourth portfolio company in our first fund. We had a ‘front row seat’ watching him play a key role in the company’s growth and success - an eventual private equity exit in 2019. Prior to Geoforce, he co-founded Atlas RFID, another successful, private equity-acquired technology company.

Throughout his career, Vince has consistently demonstrated deep operating, entrepreneurial and leadership skills. On day one at Cypress, he intimately understood the Cypress investment model and its attractiveness to entrepreneurs. He has since led the full investment process from sourcing to post-close support for eight portfolio companies. He is well known in the local and national investment community for his strong relationships and thought leadership.

Perhaps most importantly, Vince leads with a purpose-driven and collaborative mindset that has elevated the entire Cypress team. His entrepreneurial DNA shines with each new challenge he encounters, whether mentoring our younger investment professionals, coaching portfolio companies, or leading discussions with our investors.

In his new role as Managing Director, Vince will join the Cypress board to set the strategic direction of the firm and assume additional leadership responsibilities in our day to day investment activities. His promotion reflects not only his exceptional contributions to Cypress but our recognition that Vince will continue driving strong results for our portfolio companies and investors for years to come.
