Emily joined Cypress in June 2024 as an Associate focused on deal sourcing. She brings extensive entrepreneurial and operational experience, along with a strong background in marketing and business development within the technology sector.

Before joining Cypress, Emily served as the Director of Venture Dallas, an organization dedicated to nurturing innovation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in North Texas. Previously, she was the Director of Sales & Marketing at HG Partners, which developed and marketed technology designed for detecting metals in saltwater environments. While earning her Master's degree at SMU, Emily was an Innovation Strategist at o9 Solutions in Dallas focused on business development. She is also the founder of The AROS Project, a non-profit focused on removing plastics from major waterways, where she was awarded a patent for a technology and system for removing microplastics.

Emily earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science in Engineering Entrepreneurship at SMU, achieving high honors. Emily is from Fort Worth and currently lives in Dallas.
