Barton has over 30 years of success working at premier companies and start-ups in the information technology sector, with a focus on growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions and management consulting. As a Co-Founder of Cypress Growth Capital, he is involved in all facets of the investment process and actively supports portfolio companies.

Prior to Cypress, Barton co-founded Cypress Point Partners, an advisory firm focused on providing funding and driving revenue growth for emerging technology companies. His experience also includes serving as an executive at nGenera (now Moxie Software), a venture backed software and services company. Barton spent 16 years at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he served as a Managing Partner in the U.S. consulting practice. Barton began his career in information technology at Accenture. He is a graduate of Rice University.
